Controlled and
UnControlled Airspace
Controlled
Airspace is airspace of defined dimensions within which ATC services
provided. The level of control varies with the different classes of
airspace.Controlled airspace ussualy imposes higher weather minimums than are
applicable in uncontrolled airspace.
a)
Aerodrome Traffic Zone(ATZ),the airspace
with the provision:
1. Have vertical with the upper limit 4000 Ft(above ground level)
and,the lower limit ground/water
2.
Have lateral with 5 NM or the
vicinity of aerodreme
b)
Control Zone(CTR),the airspace with the
provision:
3. Have vertical with the upper limit FL 100 and,,the lower limit ground/water
1.
Have a lateral limit adjusted
to take into consideration the teleciommunication facilities flight and
operational needs
c) Terminal Control Area(TMA),the airspace with the provision:
2. Have vertical with the upper limit FL 245 and,,the lower limit FL 100
3.
Have a lateral limit adjusted
to take into consideration the teleciommunication facilities flight and
operational needs
d) Control Area(CTA),),the airspace with the provision:
1. Have vertical with the upper
limit FL 600,thr lower limit FL 245
2. The lateral limit is adjusted to FIR
UnControlled
airspace is airspace when ATC service not deened necesassry or cannot provided
for partical reason.according to the airspace classes set by ICAO,both class F
and class G airspace are uncontolled airspace
a)
Flight Informationn region
(FIR)the airspace with the provision :
1.have vertical with the upper limit FL
245 and,the lower limit ground/water
2.the lateral limit adjusted FIR
b)
Aerodrome Flight Information
Zone (AFIZ),)the airspace with the provision :
1.
Have vertical with the upper
limit 4000 Ft(above ground level) and,the lower limit ground/water
2.
Have lateral with 5 NM or the
vicinity of aerodrome
